My husband was the first person I ever made this recipe for. I made these for him when we were dating. Is this what made him fall for me? I don’t know, but it probably helped me out haha!
This is one of the easiest recipes you’ll ever make! These Oreo balls are similar to making a cake pop, but made with delicious Oreo cookies!
All you need to make these delicious balls of goodness is a package of Oreos, a block of cream cheese and some white chocolate. I prefer to use Ghirardelli chocolate over just white chocolate bark, but that’s a personal preference.
Here’s how these delectable treats are made!
First, you’re going to crush your Oreos up into small pieces. There are a couple of ways to do this. I prefer to place the Oreos in my food processor and let them go until they’re all crushed up. You can also just put them into a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin. Both methods are fine.
Next, you’re going to mix in the softened cream cheese. Now, if your Oreos are already in your food processor, just toss the cream cheese in and pulse until combined. If you crushed in a ziploc bag, transfer to a bowl and mix in your cream cheese by hand or use an electric mixer. Again, I like the food processor for this step.
Next, we’re going to place the mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.
After the mixture has firmed up some, we’re going to roll into small-ish sized balls and place on wax paper. I like to place wax paper on a cookie sheet to easily transfer. Once all the mixture has been rolled into balls, go ahead and transfer back into the freezer.
I like to leave the balls in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, but I like to check on them periodically until they’re nice and set up. I like to have them where none of the mixture comes off on my finger when I touch them.
Next, you’re going to melt the chocolate. I like to just melt in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time until melted – so easy!
Once chocolate is melted and smooth, we’re going to take the Oreo and cream cheese balls out of the freezer. One at a time, we’re going to place a ball into the chocolate, move it around to coat with a fork, drain off additional chocolate and place onto a clean piece of wax paper. When going through these, you may need to refreeze the remaining balls if you start to get flakes into the chocolate. You may also need to melt more chocolate if you run low.
Once all the balls have been dipped into chocolate, let them sit on the wax paper until set. You can add decorations of different color chocolates on top or add sprinkles before the chocolate is set completely. You’re then going to put them in an airtight container and place in the refrigerator. These usually stay good around a week or so, but they really never last that long!

- Melt white chocolate and dip frozen balls into chocolate
